India: Water train provides glimmer of hope amid severe drought

Description

With monsoon rains failing for two consecutive years, a quarter of India's population is now affected by a severe drought. The western state of Maharashtra is one of the worst hit, with rural areas now dependent on the water that's being brought in by train. But other remote parts remain cut off from this crucial lifeline and some desperate farmers have already taken their own lives. FRANCE 24's team in India reports.
