The 'Paradise Papers' reveal that Appelby helped tech giant Apple avoid paying billions in taxes by setting up a legal entity on the Channel Island of Jersey in a secret arrangement to find ways to avoid paying corporate tax.
The release of the 'Panama Papers' has put the focus back on the role of offshore companies in purchasing property in the UK, particularly in London. As Sara Hemrajani reports, campaigners say the lack of transparency means the country is acting as a safe haven for corrupt individuals.
