Tunis, Dec 6 (efe-epa).- Ali Bennaceur, the Tunisian former referee who allowed Diego Maradona’s infamous "hand of God" goal to stand, has returned to the field to referee and pay tribute to the late Argentine football legend. Bennaceur considers Maradona, who died last month at the age of 60, to be not only the best in the world for his technique and character but also as an "eternal friend" who visited him at his home in Tunisia to thank him for "the most famous mistake in the history of the world".FOOTAGE OFBENNACEUR.
Sen. Doug Jones is the only Democratic Senator from the Deep South. He is running against Tommy Tuberville in Alabama. In December 2017 Jones narrowly won a special election to replace former Sen. Jeff Sessions. According to Business Insider Jones now faces much tougher odds against Tuberville. Tuberville is a former Auburn University football coach. He has earned President Donald Trump's endorsement. He easily defeated Sessions in a July runoff.
Pablo Silva, the Inventor of '9-15,' the vanishing spray used to mark distances during football free kicks, said that FIFA has been using his product without paying for it during an interview in Mar de Plata on Friday. Silva and his partner Heine Allemagne have been working on the product since 2000 and successfully filed a patent for the chemical formula. Silva and Allemagne demand $100 million from FIFA for compensation and damages.

Referee Clecio Moreira dos Santos, known by his adoring fans as Margarida, is not your average football referee. Whether in the sand, on grass, or over artificial turf, Margarida steals the attention of the fans away from the game he is officiating with his ridiculous gestures and funny dance moves. He pulled off another one of his classic performances in his traditional pink attire, complete with pink undershorts, impressing football fans in the city of Navegantes. Dressed in pink and dancing to the sounds of his own pink whistle, the crowds on the field watched Margarida instead of the game. The all-pink referee, who calls himself “the flower of football”, has managed to develop a cult of fans everywhere he goes. Some claim he is homosexual, but he is married, and claims that he only performs in his characteristic flowery way to protest machismo in football. What do you think about Margarida's moves?
