A modern-day tale of Romeo and Juliet enchanted a crowd in Novosibirsk on January 27, when Russian ballet dancer Nikolai Maltsev proposed to his partner Ksenia Zakharova on stage. The two were taking a bow after the performance when Maltsev snuck behind the stage to retrieve an engagement ring before going down on one knee to pop the question. The overjoyed ballerina, who was making her debut as Juliet, then threw herself into the arms of her Romeo and accepted the marriage proposal, much to the delight of the audience.
