Firefighters in the south of France are searching for missing persons after heavy rains and floods left four people dead. Mana Rabiee reports.
For the fourth time in less than two months, the town centre of Tartas, in the Landes region of south=-west France, is flooded. Residents move around with their feet in the water or on footbridges, and shopkeepers are busy building brick walls to protect their shops. IMAGES

Footage courtesy of Disa Alexander shows the wild waters of a sudden flash flood sweeping through the Cold Spring Canyon swimming area in the Tonto National Forest in Arizona over the weekend. Flash floods descended on the Cold Springs swimming hole unexpectedly, leading to the death of 9 swimmers, while another person remains missing. Over 100 people were bathing in the secluded swimming hole, which is popular with both locals and tourist hikers, when the flash flood occurred.
