Pastor Andrew Brunson Released By Turkish Court

Description

According to Reuters, an American evangelical Christian pastor has been set free by a Turkish court. Andrew Brunson was arrested and charged with terrorism two years ago in the wake of a military coups. He served part of his sentence in prison, but was granted house arrest back in July. Now, Pastor Brunson is a free man, after a Turkish court released him from his sentence. However, Brunson's three year sentence will stand, though he will serve no more time. Pastor Brunson has lived in Turkey for more than 20 years, and returned to his home in Turkey’s Izmir province after one final court appearance.
