Venezuela's Maduro Threatens To Close Colombian Border

Description

Reuters reports Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro threatened to close the border with Colombia on Thursday. The socialist leader's statement came as opposition leader Juan Guaido and a large group of lawmakers attempted to get to the border to receive humanitarian aid. Guaido is recognized by dozens of countries, including the United States, as Venezuela’s legitimate head of state. He and his followers will clash with Maduro's government on Saturday when they will attempt to bring in food and medicine from neighboring countries.
