Kickstarter 'Sex Button' Faces Backlash

Business Insider reported LoveSync is a button that silently tells your partner you want to have sex. They launched a Kickstarter to fund it's production. LoveSync faced backlash for replacing audible consent and communication in sex and relationships. The founders of LoveSync Ryan and Jenn Cmich say critics are viewing it "black or white." "We're not trying to stop people from talking. We're not trying to end the world. We're just trying to introduce a fun little dynamic to relationships.

Amazon users are being automatically opted into Sidewalk, a feature that will connect Alexa devices to nearby WiFi networks, even those owned by someone else. It allows nearby devices to use a portion of a neighbor's WiFi bandwidth, so that devices can have more range.

  • Comcast Faces Backlash Over New Home Data Limits

    In January, Comcast will add data caps to its home-internet plans. According to Business Insider the caps will be instituted in 14 states. Customers with Xfinity internet plans that aren't unlimited will be constrained to 1.2 TB of data per month, or face overage charges. Comcast has had data caps in other parts of the country since 2016.

    Newser reports the charges against disgraced Hollywood mogul and sex offender Harvey Weinstein continue to pile up. Los Angeles Country prosecutors say Weinstein was charged Friday with the rape of two more women. The district attorney's office says the charges include three counts of rape and three counts of forcible oral copulation involving the two women. Tallied up, Weinstein is now charged with 11 felony counts in Los Angeles County, involving five women. The 68-year-old is serving a 23-year prison sentence in New York on convictions for rape and sexual assault against two women.
