Lexus is once again teasing the arrival of a new Track Edition for the RC F sports coupe. With the car set to debut in less than a week at the 2019 Detroit Auto Show, a new teaser video stokes anticipation with imagery of the new car on a track. The Track Edition, Lexus says, "turns hot laps all day… and heads all night."
Freshly updated for the 2020 model year, the Lexus RC F coupe now boasts improved performance, revised styling and an all-new, limited production Track Edition. With the introduction of the RC F Track Edition, hard core driving enthusiasts no longer have to decide between a luxury car for the street and a serious performance car for the track. Blending the luxury and craftsmanship of Lexus with performance upgrades typically reserved for exotic sportscars, the Lexus RC F Track Edition is capable of turning hot laps all afternoon and being driven home that night. It's the latest milestone for the F performance brand that will continue to evolve as an important pillar of the overall strategy at Lexus.The Track Edition joins the standard Lexus RC F performance coupe which has been extensively updated for the 2020 model year. Improved aerodynamics, reduced weight, a retuned suspension and enhanced styling elevate the Lexus RC F to a new level of performance and refinement.
The 2019 Detroit motor show marks the first appearance of the new Lexus RC F coupe and the limited-production RC F Track Edition, a model that fulfils the dual roles of a luxury car for the road and a serious machine for the track.
The new Yellow Edition is an exclusive addition to Lexus’ LC flagship coupe range. Vibrant Flare Yellow exterior paintwork and unique interior finish in black, white and warm yellow high quality materials including semi-Aniline leather and Alcantara. Sport+ equipment specification includes Lexus Dynamic Handling with Variable Gear Ratio Steering and four-wheel steering, Torsen limited-slip differential, 21-inch forged alloy wheels and carbon fibre reinforced plastic roof and active rear spoiler. Luxury cabin features include head-up display, Alcantara headlining and 10-way power-adjustable front seats in semi-aniline leather.

Lexus designers sought to maintain the RC's dynamic coupe proportions, while adding a high level of elegance to the exterior. This was done through the addition of distinctive design elements, such as a new front bumper corner that flows down from the headlamps and a grille mesh pattern that gradually transforms from top to bottom. Optional triple LED headlamps and L-shaped LED clearance lamps also add to the car's more refined appearance. Air ducts have been added to the corner of the RC's rear bumpers along with revised rear combination lamps that now house more pronounced L-shaped lenses, a new signature design feature for Lexus coupes."
