In a unique way, the new BMW 8 Series Coupé succeeds in captivating the driver with its dynamic driving characteristics and at the same time captivating with its luxurious features and sporty, elegant design. The individual configuration of the new luxury sports car also ensures maximum exclusivity on the front row. This is ensured by the BMW M850i xDrive Coupé First Edition available for spring 2019. For the first time, the drivetrain and suspension technology of the two-door vehicle, which has been developed with racing know-how, can now be combined with exclusive exterior and interior features from BMW Individual. The BMW M850i xDrive Coupe First Edition is produced in a limited edition of 400 copies. The production takes place between April and June 2019 at the BMW plant Dingolfing.

Following the launch of the new BMW 8-Series Coupe and new BMW 8-Series Convertible, the new BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe is now poised to make its debut, combining dynamic prowess and a luxurious aura with a four-door body design and far more spacious rear passenger compartment. The third model variant in the line-up is a sports car brimming with individual character. Its everyday usability and impressive long-distance credentials open up new ways of enjoying the thrilling performance and emotion-packed design inherent in every BMW 8-Series. Exclusive equipment features and the very latest innovations in control/operation, driver assistance and connectivity advance the cause of modern luxury.The new BMW 8-Series Gran Coupe is the only model in its segment derived directly from a two-door sports car. Exhilarating performance runs through its veins, a consequence of its development alongside the new BMW 8-Series Coupe and M8 GTE racing car - which competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) in North America. This third model in the BMW 8-Series range adds more fuel to the ongoing product offensive in the luxury segment identified by the BMW Group - as part of its NUMBER ONE > NEXT strategy - as a key element in ensuring the company's sustained growth. The newcomer will be built alongside the BMW 8-Series Coupe and BMW 8-Series Convertible at BMW Plant Dingolfing in Lower Bavaria, which has acquired immense expertise in the manufacture of luxury cars in its long-standing role as the home of BMW 7-Series production. The worldwide launch of the new car will commence just a few months later, in September 2019.

As in the past with the BMW Z8 and also with the current BMW i8, it is reserved for exceptionally sporty cars that fire the emotions. The BMW 8-Series Coupe will therefore be a key component of the luxury segment model offensive set out by the BMW Group as part of its NUMBER ONE > NEXT strategy. The primary development objective for the new BMW 8-Series Coupe was thrilling driving dynamics. Body, powertrain and suspension were consistently honed to achieve the supreme agility, precision and poise expected of a top-class sports car. In the process, remarkably powerful engines were combined with the BMW xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system and BMW EfficientLightweight design measures. The new BMW 8-Series Coupe was developed in parallel to the BMW M8 GTE, which had already proven its potential in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) long-distance races and in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship (IWSC) held in North America. The production car now makes it possible to experience outstandingly dynamic performance in an exceedingly luxurious setting."
The upper end of the BMW 8 Series family’s performance range is clearly defined by the new BMW M8 Competition Coupé and the new BMW M8 Competition Convertible. With these high-performance sportscars, Plant Dingolfing is venturing into a new performance range in the luxury segment. The most powerful engine in the BMW Group’s model line-up delivers 625 hp. The 4.4 l V8 engine takes the BMW M8 Competition Coupé from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. In combination with the M Driver’s Package offered as an option, the top speed is not electronically limited until 305 km/h.The interior of the BMW M sportscar from Dingolfing pairs the sporty character of a high-performance vehicle with the luxurious ambience created by stylish details and meticulous workmanship. The character-defining features of the new BMW M8 Coupé include the double-bubble contour of its carbon-fibre reinforced plastic roof (CFRP), which is manufactured in an innovative wet compression process at Plant Dingolfing.Around 60 BMW M8s leave the Dingolfing facility every day. Each vehicle undergoes a final quality inspection on the plant’s own break-in course prior to delivery. The luxury sports coupé’s biggest sales are expected to come from the US, with well over a third of all units likely to be sold there. No other market comes close. Both Coupé and Convertible body variants are equally popular with BMW M8 customers.

The new BMW 2 Series Coupé embodies sporting prowess in a particularly concentrated form, with a vehicle concept focused squarely on dynamic excellence, an athletic design, powerful engines and sophisticated chassis technology. Its standalone appearance, a six-cylinder in-line petrol engine at the sharp end of the line-up, rear-wheel drive and chassis components carried over from the BMW 4 Series put clear water between the new BMW 2 Series Coupé and the compact BMW 1 Series, while also laying the foundations for performance attributes beyond the reach of any segment rival. The new BMW 2 Series Coupé therefore follows in the tyre tracks of the legendary BMW 02, which 55 years ago lit the fuse for the brand’s recent history of compact and irresistibly sporty two-door models.

Its vehicle concept – comprising four doors, a large tailgate, dynamically flowing lines and five full-size seats – brings a highly distinctive character profile to the premium reaches of the midsize class. The second generation of the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé also makes its mark in fine style with noticeably enhanced driving dynamics, a sharper design in the brand’s new design language, a refined premium ambience in the cabin and a wide array of innovations in the areas of control/operation and connectivity. Five model variants will be available from launch, developing between 135 kW/184 hp and 275 kW/374 hp.
