South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa says he has "no doubt" that the electorate would "once again" back his ruling African National Congress (ANC) in the country's general election. "I have no doubt whatsoever in my heart of hearts that the people will once again invest confidence in the African National Congress to continue to lead this country," he says after casting his vote in Soweto, just outside Johannesburg. The African National Congress (ANC) conference starts in Johannesburg as some 4,500 delegates, from all across of South Africa, gather to chose their next party leader. The secretary-general of the ANC, Paul Mashatile, tells the press that "should parliament meet tomorrow to deliberate on the report and adopt it, the ANC MPs will vote against it" following discussion about a recently released report which alleges that President Cyril Ramaphosa was involved in a cover-up of a robbery on his farm.
