Felix Tshisekedi's victory in last month's presidential polls in DRC continues to stir up trouble. Rival opposition leader Martin Fayulu says he's the real victor and that the electoral commission's launched a coup, fixing the results in Tshisekedi's favour.. the catholic church and didplomats are also unconvinced by the official data.
Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi is expected in China this Wednesday for a five-day state visit, which will include a meeting with President Xi Jinping. China is the DR Congo's top trading partner and a major mining investor. Top of the agenda will be the renegotiation of a "resources-for-infrastructure" deal struck in 2008, which Tshisekedi believes is unfair. Also on the show: Australia looks to increase its trade ties with India in order to reduce reliance on China.
A belgian court agrees to admit the findings of a 22-year-old parliamentary commission into its investigation. The court is looking into the 1961 assassination of DR Congo's Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba - seen by many as one of the country's founding fathers. The ebola outbreak in Uganda is growing, with almost 30 confirmed deaths - including 4 health workers. The country is set to discuss the situation with the World Health Organisation and the African Centres for Disease Control.
