12-hour Hostage Standoff Takes Place in Mississippi

According to Business Insider, four people have died during a 12-hour hostage standoff in Clinton, Mississippi. Police were initially called to the scene at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving reports of a domestic disturbance at a residence on Foxhill Drive. The situation escalated when officers received fire from the suspect after arriving at the scene. Over 50 police cars and a swat team surrounded the home by sunrise, and two small children were eventually released from the home around 11 a.m. The suspect was eventually apprehended by 2 p.m. At that point, officers discovered that four people had died.
