Report Shows Dating Apps Failed To Prevent Child Sexual Explotation

Description

The Sunday Times reported that dating apps failed to prevent child sexual exploitation. Platforms like Tinder and Grindr reportedly had weak verification measures that allowed for exploitation. According to Gizmodo, documents obtained by the Sunday Times revealed several cases of child grooming. Some of that included “sexual conversations,” the exchange of nude photos and sexual abuse. A 13-year-old who went through abuse from the app said he was able to easily use it with a fake birth date.
