Bugatti is now offering a digital presentation of the Chiron Pur Sport in its newsroom. At the company's headquarters in Molsheim, Bugatti President Stephan Winkelmann, Managing Director of Production and Logistics Christophe Piochon, Head of Development Stefan Ellrott and Deputy Design Director Frank Heyl present the latest member of the Chiron family: the Chiron Pur Sport.
Exceptional design and vast power have been the hallmark features of Bugatti vehicles for around 110 years. The French manufacturer of hyper sports cars now consistently pursues this path further with the new special-edition Centodieci. In addition, Bugatti is echoing its recent history with an exclusive and extraordinary small series.There are many areas in which the new special-edition Bugatti Centodieci echoes the former super sports car of the 1990s. “The challenge was not to allow oneself to be captivated too much by the design of the historic vehicle and work solely in retrospect, but instead to create a modern interpretation of the shape and technology of that time,” says Achim Anscheidt, Head Designer at Bugatti. Even sportier and more extreme than the Bugatti Chiron and Divo hyper sports cars, yet elegant and timeless like the La Voiture Noire, it is a one-of-a-kind Bugatti for the enthusiast.The flat, horseshoe-shaped radiator at the front reveals its depth only from the side view, with the newly developed, deep-seated front spoiler and the three-section air intakes providing a perfect match. The front of the Centodieci drops very low. The iconic Bugatti horseshoe has been reduced accordingly, while the Bugatti logo Macaron sits on the hood, which is interrupted at the centre by a black element. Naturally, customers can have their special-edition Centodieci painted in the Bugatti colour of their choice. The small series, limited to ten vehicles (and already sold out) and handcrafted in Molsheim, France, will be delivered in two years at unit prices starting at EUR 8 million plus VAT. After its short period in Italy, Bugatti has now been back at its old headquarters in Molsheim, France, for almost 20 years. This is where Ettore Bugatti produced the very first vehicles that bore his name at the end of 1909.

“In 2019, we are celebrating a special anniversary. Bugatti was established 110 years ago. These two models pay homage to our long tradition and to our French homeland,” says Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann. The third model on the Bugatti stand is also in line with this approach: the Bugatti Divo2, is a hyper sports car which is being produced in a limited edition of 40 vehicles. With its modified aerodynamics, it is designed for even higher lateral acceleration than the Chiron3 and ensures extreme driving pleasure. With “La Voiture Noire“, the French luxury automobile brand has once again shown that it produces the world’s most precious and exclusive hyper sports cars. The two-door car with its breathtakingly sculpted bodywork is especially elegant thanks to the use of deep black carbon fibre. In the world of the automobile, “La Voiture Noire” is a name with a special resonance: Ettore Bugatti’s son Jean developed and drove one of only four Type 57 SC Atlantic coupés produced. He called his Atlantic “La Voiture Noire“ – the black car. This vehicle disappeared without trace before the Second World War. Nowadays, it is considered one of the great mysteries in the history of the automobile and it would be incredibly valuable.
Not many race circuits enjoy as close a bond with Bugatti as Targa Florio. The French manufacturer achieved five victories there. And now the new Divo and a Bugatti Type 35 are going head-to-head for the very first time on the historic track.Targa Florio, Type 35 and Bugatti Divo. Three legends, together at last. Bugatti is driving the Bugatti Divo around Sicily's historic race circuit. Joining the Divo is a Type 35, the most successful racing car of all time. This marks a very special kind of meeting. Between 1925 and 1929, Bugatti and the Type 35 dominated the long-distance race on Sicily. And in 1928 and 1929, one driver in particular demonstrated what he was capable of: Albert Divo.
