After a six-year absence from Honda’s European line-up, the much-loved - and razor-sharp - CBR600RR returns for 24YM to reinvigorate the middleweight super sports category. Loaded with cutting-edge MotoGP-inspired electronics and aerodynamics, the new CBR600RR is a free-revving four-cylinder motorcycling gem powered by an engine substantially upgraded from its previous incarnation to deliver peak power of 89kW at 14,250rpm and 63Nm of torque at 11,500rpm. The sweet-handling chassis package deliver both instant changes of direction and stability through its twin-spar aluminium frame with aluminium swingarm, 41mm Showa Big Piston USD front forks, Unit Pro-Link Showa rear shock and fairings featuring MotoGP-derived winglets. The CBR600RR’s new comprehensive electronics package benefits from the use of a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), as found in the CBR1000RR-R Fireblade, and includes Throttle By Wire control, 5 Riding Modes, Cornering ABS, 9-level Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Wheelie Control, Rear Lift Control and Emergency Stop Signals. Honda Electronic Steering Damper, an assist/slipper clutch and quickshifter are also standard fit.
The launch of the all-new Civic Type R comes as Honda celebrates 25 years of its iconic high-performance hatchback – and 50 years of Civic. The next-generation model has been engineered to deliver the fastest Civic Type R to date, building on a long tradition of performance cars inspired by the spirit of racing.Building on the human-centred approach to dynamics, design and usability applied when developing the 11th generation Civic, Honda engineers have refined every aspect to create the Civic Type R. Integrated design enhancements including a functional hood vent and a new rear diffuser that bring new aerodynamic benefits, whilst complementing the sporty silhouette. The Type R is also lower and wider than the standard Civic, with a new rear spoiler design accentuating the sleek roofline and contributing to the car’s aerodynamic performance and muscular appearance.Lightweight components and an increase in power from the 2.0 litre four-cylinder petrol engine combine to create one of the highest power-to-weight ratio in its class. A revised rev-match system with auto blip ensures that gear changes with the six-speed manual transmission offer drivers a rewarding experience.Inside, the Type R features the evocative red interior, lightweight sport seats and driver-focused controls that distinguish all performance Hondas. In addition to pre-set driver modes, a new Individual mode enables new levels of customisation for drivers, enabling them to personalise vehicle characteristics such as throttle response and steering feedback. The onboard Honda Log R datalogger has improved monitoring and an innovative scoring function to help drivers improve their performance on the track.
Based on the Talon 1000X two-seater but with a longer chassis and room for two more people, the Talon 1000X-4 features stadium rear seating that positions the back passengers inboard and higher than those in front, ensuring that everyone on board enjoys an engaging, social experience. Powered by a performance-tuned version of Honda's proven 999cc four-valve Unicam parallel-twin engine, the Talon 1000X-4 features a high-tech Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) that efficiently puts horsepower to the ground and gives drivers the ability to switch between drive modes—full automatic, a more spirited "Sport" automatic that holds higher rpm, and manual, with gear-changes accomplished via steering-column-mounted paddle shifters. (The paddle shifters can also be used to override the automatic modes.) FOX Podium Quick Switch 3 shocks allow fast and simple three-position adjustment, with 14.6 and 15.0 inches of travel, front and rear respectively. Of course other favorite Talon elements are carried over, including I-4WD traction-aiding technology, hill-start assist and Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD).
In expanding the Talon family to the four-seat market, Honda took the opportunity to introduce semi-active electronic suspension with the new Talon 1000X-4 FOX Live Valve. Sharing the same engine, frame and body as the other four-seat Talon, this flagship version benefits from a new collaboration between Honda, FOX and Bosch. The groundbreaking suspension system crunches data from a multitude of sensors and adjusts all four shocks 16 times per second for one of two drive-style choices (Normal and Sport). The result is an incredible ride and unmatched handling, with minimal body roll and stellar high-speed tracking in rough terrain. Front and rear travel are 14.4 and 15.0 inches, respectively. This model also comes standard with electronic Launch Mode for lightning-quick, full-throttle acceleration off the line.
