Chinese Military Officer Calls For Attacks On US Ships

A Chinese military officer has suggested that the Chinese navy attack US ships in the South China Sea. People's Liberation Army Air Force senior colonel Dai Xu said... "If the U.S. warships break into Chinese waters again, I suggest that two warships should be sent: one to stop it, and another one to ram it. In our territorial waters, we won't allow US warships to create disturbance." Dai argued that US Navy's freedom-of-navigation operations aim to undermine China's sovereignty. The US Navy regularly sails ships past Chinese-occupied territories in the South China Sea. In late November, theUS Navy sent a guided-missile cruiser to challenge Chinese claims near the Paracel Islands.
