Watch GIANT CLAW tear down Moscow’s ‘Resident Evil’ hospital

Drone footage captures giant crane-mounted claws tearing Moscow’s abandoned Khovrino hospital down piece by piece. Ambitious construction work on the 1,300-bed hospital began in 1980 and was suspended in the 1990s leaving the building as one of the capital's most infamous unfinished projects. The complex was nicknamed the "Umbrella" by Muscovites for its similarity to the Umbrella Corporation symbol in the Resident Evil franchise. Many local legends have been born. One has it that the building was once home to a satanic cult. The building was used as a shelter by homeless people. And in 2005 a jilted lover jumped to their death from the roof.
