  • World premiere of the Porsche 99X Electric Gen3

With the Porsche 99X Electric Gen3, Porsche is entering a new era of Formula E. The electric single-seater, the product of an evolution at the Porsche Development Center in Weissach, was presented at the Porsche Experience Center in Franciacorta, Italy. The TAG Heuer Porsche team will use it in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship from the 2023 season. The new Gen3 are the fastest, lightest, most powerful and efficient electric single-seaters ever built. They have been specifically designed for wheel-to-wheel duels on the tight street circuits of the world's cities where Formula E traditionally contests its races. The general concept of the Porsche 99X Electric Gen3 and the other vehicles of the new generation of Formula E constitutes an important evolutionary step. The vehicles have lost weight, have a shorter wheelbase and narrower tracks. The battery has been reduced in size, but is more powerful. It also increases the proportion of energy recovered. In addition, the aerodynamics and design have been modified. In short, the new single-seaters are more agile, which improves performance on the track.
