That process resulted in the design of MX-30. The Human Modern concept spurred a number of unprecedented approaches. The exterior is uncompromisingly simple to emphasize its beauty as a solid mass. The styling creates a friendly expression, and the cabin design, with its framed top and freestyle doors, embodies an image of lightness. The interior aims to give occupants a sense of being "enveloped in openness," with a floating console and unique materials designed to minimize environmental impact. The MX-30 embodies an expressive direction in car design that helps customers discover their natural selves through the process of living with the car.

Originally launched in 2003, the All-New Mazda3 is the first of Mazda's new generation of vehicles to roll off the production line. As a core model in the line-up, the Mazda3 has always reflected the latest advances in the company's vehicle engineering as well as manufacturing and supported the operations of production facilities all over the world. Since its introduction, more than six million units of the Mazda3 have been sold worldwide, over one million of the cars going into the European market.Mazda strives to establish a lasting bond with customers that is based on a deep emotional connection. This approach looks at well-to-wheel carbon emissions to realise true environmental sustainability, while delivering outstanding driving performance. The introduction of Mazda's revolutionary Skyactiv-X petrol engine marks an important step in this direction. In the All-New Mazda3, the engine will make its first appearance in a production car.
The Mazda MX-30 e-Skyactiv R-EV series plug-in hybrid1 has received a maximum five-star rating by Euro NCAP. The excellent results of the battery-electric MX-30 e-Skyactiv EV2 tested in 2020 now officially apply to its new plug-in hybrid derivative, too.Both MX-30 derivatives score impressively in all four Euro NCAP test categories: Adult Occupant - 91%, Child Occupant - 87%, Vulnerable Road User (pedestrian safety) - 68% and Safety Assist - 73%.Moreover, they achieved maximum points in lateral impact tests, as well as full marks for crash test performance based on 6- and 10-year-old children for both frontal and lateral impact.The MX-30 was the first Mazda to achieve an overall five-star rating under the more stringent 2020 Euro NCAP crashworthiness ratings with a stronger emphasis on occupant protection, post-crash protection, and advanced driver assistance technology.
