Train conductors, air-traffic controllers, as well as teachers, walked off the job after the government announced it planned labor overhauls. Civil servants are also expected to protest a string of reform, with hospital workers and teachers reportedly joining around 140 demonstrations across the country. Thursday sets off a three-month wave of industrial action by rail workers, who plan to strike on two out of every five days between April and June, as well as organize over 100 marches.
