Kenya and the European Union sign a long-negotiated trade agreement to bolster the flow of goods between the two markets, in a first of such pacts with East Africa as Brussels pursues stronger economic ties with Africa. IMAGES
US defence secretary, Lloyd Austin says that the US would "evaluate any future steps that would prioritise both our democratic and our security goals" referring to the situation in Niger in a speech made in Nairobi. The comments comes a day after French President Emmanuel Macron announced the withdrawal of French troops and diplomats from the country.
