Cop Admits To Stealing From Grieving Family

A police officer has admitted buying pornography at the home of a grieving family. The crime by the officer is especially heinous because the family was grieving the death of their child. PC Avi Maharaj, 44 is a police officer serving with London's Metropolitan Police Service. He was on duty at a property in south London when he purchased access to pornographic channels. Maharaj spent around $32.50 on the porno, the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said in a statement. Maharaj will be sentenced for fraud in August. He will also have to answer a case for gross misconduct, the IOPC said.
