Britain Says No To Swapping Seized Oil Tankers With Iran

Description

Military tensions are high between London and Tehran after the U.K. denied a plan to swap oil tankers with Iran. Britain recently seized Iran’s oil tanker off British territory, claiming it breached E.U. sanctions. Afterwards, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps seized a British tanker in retaliation. Although Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s father suggested swapping tankers, the plan did not go through. According to Business Insider, the U.K. said no because they were in compliance with international law.
