The UK government is ditching the requirement to remove liquids and laptops from hand luggage during security checks.

Orly airport, south-east of Paris, is experimenting with 3D scanners to simplify cabin baggage screening and allow security officers to "focus on the quality of service". The 3D technology means passengers no longer have to remove liquids and certain electronic devices from their luggage, "a breath of fresh air", according to one employee.
Following a successful experiment, the UK is expected to give a green light to genetically edited wheat.
Stansted has suspended all flights for the foreseeable, while Gatwick and Heathrow have cancelled more than 50 flights. Roads and railway also disrupted.
