Palestinians perform Friday noon prayers on the last day of the Eid al-Fitr holiday marking the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, near a tent serving as a makeshift mosque in southern Gaza's Rafah. Regional tensions have been stoked by the Gaza war which began after Hamas's unprecedented October 7 attack against Israel left 1,170 people dead, mostly civilians, according to Israeli figures.
