French astronaut Thomas Pesquet and his American colleague Shane Kimbrough completed a six-hour spacewalk Sunday as they installed new solar panels to boost power supplies to the International Space Station (ISS), NASA said. The astronauts started Sunday’s spacewalk picking up where they left off Wednesday, when a string of problems prevented them from unrolling the high-tech solar panel.
NASA astronauts use a 6 ½ hour spacewalk to install a docking station for upcoming commercial space taxis, which will end U.S. reliance on Russia for rides to the orbiting outpost. Rough cut (no reporter narration).
NASA and SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft blasts off to the International Space Station, carrying four astronauts. The Crew-7 mission is commanded by American Jasmin Moghbeli and includes Andreas Mogensen of Denmark, Satoshi Furukawa of Japan and Konstantin Borisov of Russia. They will spend 6 months on the station conducting a variety of experiments.
