Peru "hunting" for innovative ideas to reactivate economy

Description

Lima, Nov 23 (EFE).- Innovative ideas are essential to reactivate Peru and remove it from the economic, social and health drama in which it finds itself, a need that has led its Government to go "hunting" for projects to provide them with funding to turn crisis into "opportunity."Statements from Gonzalo Villarán, head of Innóvate's Knowledge Development and Management Unit: "We designed and launched the Innovar para Reactivate strategy as a strategy to add to the different initiatives from the government such as the social, economic and health reactivation. This program is like the second part of another initiative that was launched last March to combat covid, which sought to promote already advanced proposals for health issues, with rapid implementation, such as the creation of masks, mechanical respirators, and software for teleworking, among others. These are being implemented and some of them are already on the market."
