Thai Prime Minister awaits constitution court ruling on his living in army residence

Description

Bangkok, Dec 1 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Rungroj Yongrit) Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha speaks during a press conference at Government House in Bangkok. The Constitution Court is scheduled on 2 December to rule whether Prime Minister Prayut violated the constitution by continuing to live in an official army residence after his mandatory retirement ending his career as army chief - a decision which could jeopardize his premiership if the court finds him guilty. Prayut is accused of violating the supreme law by staying in a house inside the 1st Infantry Regiment of the King's Guard after retiring from the commander-in-chief of Royal Thai Army in 2014.
