Laurel, Jul 5 (EFE/EPA).-According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology the highest level of volcanic sulfur dioxide gas emission was recorded Sunday at the Taal volcano and eruption may occur anytime soon. Aerial images show lava near the Icelandic fishing town of Grindavik as volcanic activity eases following an eruption which began early Sunday. Grindavik's 4,000 residents had been evacuated in November as a precaution. Shortly after a December 18 eruption, they were allowed to return for brief periods.
