El Salvador seizes 500 kilograms of cocaine valued at 12.5 million

San Luis La Herradura, Feb 11 (EFE).- The National Civil Police (PNC) and the Attorney General's Office (FGR) of El Salvador on Thursday seized a shipment of 500 kilograms of cocaine valued at $12.5 million off the coast of the country. Police officers also arrested Francisco Martínez, a Guatemalan national, during the seizure of packages containing cocaine. (Camera: VLADIMIR CHICAS). Colombian Police seized over 12 tons of cocaine valued at over $360 million in major bust on Wednesday. According to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos this raid became the largest ever seizure in Colombia's history. Reports state that the cocaine was located in the north-western Antioquia province, in four banana plantations near the country's border with Panama.
