French farmers are beginning to dismantle their campsite on the A6 motorway at Chilly-Mazarin, in Paris southern suburbs. Farmers' largest unions FNSEA and Young Farmers have called for the blockades to be lifted following the new measures announced by the government. IMAGES
Tractors continued to block the A6 motorway at Chilly-Mazarin, some ten kilometres (6 miles) from Rungis wholesale food market, Paris' key food supply hub. Farmers union Coordination Rurale who had called for the blockade, now sent out the directive to go "towards the National Assembly" in Paris instead. IMAGES
Several dozen tractors are blocking the A4 motorway at Jossigny, around 30 kilometres from Paris, during farmer protests gripping France. A total of eight motorways in the Paris region are affected by blockades and partial closures, according to the traffic monitoring website Sytadin. IMAGES
