Syria’s ‘Freedom Boys’: The teens who unintentionally sparked a revolution

Description

Ten years ago this week, a group of 24 students at a middle school in the Syrian city of Daraa decided to write something on the wall. But this was no teenage prank: the words they wrote, criticising President Bashar al-Assad, led to their arrest and torture, and ultimately sparked a revolution. On the 10-year anniversary of that revolt and the devastating war which subsequently erupted, FRANCE 24 meets one of the "Freedom Boys".
