San Cristobal de las Casas, May 19 (EFE).- At least 800 people, including students, teachers, members of social organizations and parents marched Wednesday in the cities of Tuxtla Gutiérrez and San Cristóbal de las Casas, in the Mexican state of Chiapas, to demand the release of students detained Tuesday by state police.At least 95 of the protesters were arrested Tuesday by Chiapas State Police agents during a protest demanding improvements in education from the government.
