Over 1,600 teachers and high school students are demonstrating in the streets of Marseille, south of France, according to police figures. Seven people were taken to hospital and around twenty others evacuated after the fire broke out in the building, causing it to partially collapse, according to the fire brigade and Marseille town hall. At least 1,000 people march in solidarity with Palestinians in Marseille, southern France, as Israel's army intensifies its assault on the Gaza Strip. Organisers said 4,000 people took to the streets, while police put the figure at 1,800.
