Artisans complete the restoration of sixteen statues of the Notre Dame spire

Périgueux (France), Apr 13 (EFE / EPA) .- (Camera: Caroline Blumberg) A handful of artisans complete the restoration of the sixteen statues of the Notre Dame spire, about two years after the serious fire that devastated the cathedral and from which they were saved for a very few days.FOOTAGE OF THE RESTORATION OF THE STATUES OF NOTRE DAME. SOUNDBITES OF RICHARD BOYER, GENERAL MANAGER OF SOCRA, THE COMPANY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE RESTORATION. 1.- "We are a company specialized in the restoration of historical monuments and architectural heritage and we are in charge of the restoration of copper statues in Notre Dame Cathedral. They have forged copper statues maintained by a metal structure. We recovered it on the 11th. April 2019 and we have been working on them since then, on the armor that has a structural problem and then on the epidermis, with a definition work to be able to expose them in the city of architecture and heritage in Paris, where all the statues will be presented to the public starting this summer. "
