Lima, Sep 28 (EFE).- People from the indigenous communities arrived Tuesday at the Constitutional Court of Peru to protest the five years they have been waiting for a ruling on their lawsuit, where they claim to be the owners of thousands of hectares of Amazon rainforest razed by a company to grow oil palm. PETA activists stripped down in freezing temperatures opposite Berlin’s Kaufhaus Jandorf for the opening of Berlin Fashion Week on Tuesday, baring their skin to shed light on the fashion world’s ties to animal cruelty. The protesters were wearing nothing but animal masks and underwear despite the frosty surroudings and held signs decrying the leather and fur industry. They also laid on the ground in front of cardboard gravestones, feigning death in a bid to highlight the plight of animals. Other demonstrators were seen handing out flyers supporting the PETA cause.
