Vaccinations continue in Lebanon after World Bank threatens to withdraw funding

Description

Beirut (Lebanon), Feb 24 (EFE/EPA), (Camera: Wael Hamzeh).- The vaccination campaign continues in Lebanon after the World Bank (WB) threatened to withdraw the funding the agency has granted Lebanon to purchase vaccines against coronavirus after several lawmakers were inoculated in Parliament. Lebanese authorities launched their vaccination campaign, for which the WB has contributed $34 million, on February 14, and since then have been gradually granting appointments to people who have registered on the mandatory platform to go to designated centers, with priority given to seniors and health workers.FOOTAGE OF THE VACCINATION CAMPAIGN AT THE RAFIK HARIRI UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN BEIRUT.
