Description

Banda Aceh, Apr 15 (EFE/EPA).- Workers in Indonesia's Aceh are preparing traditional food for Ramadan. Grass jelly is known as 'cincau' in Indonesian and is made by boiling the stalks and leaves of Mesona chinensis, usually consumed with sugar water, syrup, coconut milk, and ice. Cincau is a prefered desert for breaking fast during Ramadan in Indonesia. Muslims around the world celebrate the holy month of Ramadan by praying during the night time and abstaining from eating, drinking, and sexual acts during the period between sunrise and sunset.
