Buenos Aires, Jun 11 (EFE).-Argentina's consumer price index registered a year-on-year increase of 43.4 percent in May, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) reported on Thursday. According to the agency, the country´s CPI rose 1.5 percent month-on-month, which confirms the slowdown seen in April after a 3.3-percent rise in March.Just like April, the May economy was largely affected by an unprecedented macroeconomic inactivitiy due to the coronavirus lockdown that has been in place since Mar 20.
