UN warns of a large-scale famine in Yemen

Sana'a, May 9 (EFE/EPA).- Mona Relief Yemen, a local aid agency, on Sunday provided food rations to more than 300 families who are facing heightened food insecurity. The United Nations has warned that the humanitarian situation in Yemen continues to deteriorate as aid agencies are reaching only half of the 16 million people targeted with food assistance every month due to a critical funding shortfall.After six years of war, Yemen remains the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
