South Korea implements new COVID-19 restrictions

Seoul (South Korea), Dec 7 (EFE / EPA) .- The South Korean government announced this weekend new social restrictions to prevent the extension of the third wave of the coronavirus pandemic, with daily infection numbers that had not been recorded since last March.According to the latest official data, South Korean authorities registered 615 cases of coronavirus Monday, and four new deaths due to the disease.In order to try to control infections, the South Korean government announced that from Tuesday Seoul and the area surrounding the capital will have a 2.5 meter social distancing, the second highest on the official South Korean scale.
