Police intervene as rival political parties clash in DR Congo

Description

Congolese police are deployed at the parliament of the Democratic Republic of Congo, scene of a heated battle between supporters of President Felix Tshisekedi and those of the parliamentary majority loyal to his predecessor Joseph Kabila. Tshisekedi has said that he may dissolve parliament and hold elections in order to form a new coalition, a decision that has angered Kabila supporters who accuse Tshisekedi of breaching the constitution.
