Suez Canal blocked as massive container ship runs aground

Description

The Suez Canal - one of the world's most important shipping routes - has been blocked after a 400-metre long container ship ran aground on Tuesday. The MV Ever Given got stuck in the waterway during high winds, according to its operator. The canal's authorities are working to free the ship, as a backlog of other vessels have built up north and south of the blockage. Also today, Amazon warehouse workers and delivery drivers in Italy have staged a 24-hour strike over their working conditions.
