US hospital announces first successful hand and face transplant

New York, Feb 3 (EFE).- The NYU Langone Hospital in New York announced Wednesday that they completed the face and two-hand transplant of a 22-year-old patient who suffered serious damage in a traffic accident, the first successful combined operation of its kind in the world.
