They came, saw and won. On their return to WRC2, ŠKODA Motorsport supported #andreasmikkelsen (NOR) and co-driver Ola Fløene (NOR) took WRC2 victory at Rallye Monte-Carlo (21-24 January 2021). Their success at the same time marked the first victory for the updated 2021 generation of the ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo. By also winning the “Power Stage”, the two Norwegians start their 2021 campaign with the maximum of 30 championship points. Driving the second ŠKODA FABIA Rally2 evo of team Toksport WRT, WRC2 newcomers Marco Bulacia/Marcelo Der Ohannesian (BOL/ARG) end their “Monte” debut on fourth position in the category.
The ideal piece of sports equipment is undoubtedly available to Kahle again: the 130 RS is one of the most successful models in ŠKODA's more than 120-year motorsport history. The greatest triumphs of the rear-wheel drive, also known as the 'Porsche of the East', include victory in the manufacturers' classification of the European Touring Car Championship in 1981 and the double victory in the 1977 Monte Carlo Rally in the category up to 1,300 cc displacement. Even if the Eifel Rallye Festival is not about best times: Since the mostly newly selected demonstration routes are closed to public traffic, Kahle can uninhibitedly demonstrate the potential of the 130 RS and race through the tests at real competitive speed.The same applies to the other privately owned ŠKODA vehicles that can be seen at the Eifel Rallye Festival – and have also played their part in the history of the World Rally Championship, which was held for the first time in 1972. Among other things, the fans can look forward to two FABIA WRCs. These World Rally Cars were created on the basis of the first-generation standard ŠKODA FABIA RS. While the five-door hatchback model with a 96 kW (130 hp) TDI diesel engine was at the dealerships, the FABIA WRC has a turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of two liters, 221 kW (300 hp) and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. In the World Rally Championship, the ŠKODA FABIA WRC made its debut in the 2003 Rally Germany.

Škoda has made the expressive design of its compact Scala even more distinctive. With a redesigned Škoda grille and revised aprons at the front and rear, the refreshed hatchback model is even more reminiscent of the spectacular Vision RS concept. Its dynamic appearance is reinforced by slimmed-down headlights, available for the first time with TOP LED Matrix technology and LED modules evoking blocks of ice. The wheels, available from 16 to 18 inches, have also been revised. The characterful extended rear window made of black glass, which stretches down to the redesigned tail lights, remains available as an option. Škoda offers a total of nine paint finishes for the new Scala. The sporty Scala Monte Carlo top model is traditionally characterised by numerous black accents.The Scala was the first model to showcase the current iteration of Škoda’s design language. For the update of the model series, the Czech car manufacturer has drawn on the Scala’s distinctive features and refined them further. The tapering headlights are now slimmer and even more sophisticated, featuring expressive LED components in the TOP LED Matrix variant. The front and rear aprons for the Scala emphasise sportiness, resembling the dynamic Vision RS concept.The updated Scala features a new Škoda grille. This comes with the traditional vertical slats and plays with the alternation of matt and glossy surfaces. The front bumper has also been redesigned: the central air intake is divided by side wings and flanked by more pronounced air curtains. These emphasise sportiness while also protecting the LED fog lights, which are standard from the SE L model upwards. The air intake grille has a mesh-style design and comes with diamond-shaped segments that create a three-dimensional look.
