French job centres close for a day after killing of employee

Description

All French job centres close on Friday following the death of a counsellor who was shot dead Thursday morning in a Valence-based agency. A minute's silence will be observed by the agents. The gunman went on to kill another woman on the premises of a company in the region, police and prosecutors said. The suspect fled by car towards the centre of Valence where his vehicle struck a police car trying to stop him. He was then arrested.
