Kia Motors has announced a significant upgrade to the fourth-generation Kia Rio. The upgraded model features a range of enhancements to reinvigorate the car's position within the highly competitive B-segment. The upgraded Rio pairs an updated exterior and interior design with 'big car' safety and infotainment technologies. The new model also offers drivers new efficient powertrains - including Kia's first petrol 48V mild-hybrid system, equipped with one of the first applications of the company's new 'clutch-by-wire' intelligent manual transmission.
Kia Motors has made substantial upgrades to its smallest model, the Kia Picanto, due on-sale in Europe during the third quarter of 2020. Offering a range of new safety and telematics technologies often reserved for larger, more expensive vehicles, the upgraded model also boasts lower emissions from newly reengineered powertrains, and striking design updates, inside and out.The upgraded Kia Picanto brings with it a suite of advanced safety technology from Kia's larger cars, making it among the safest cars in its class. It also offers Kia's new 'Phase II' UVO Connect telematics technologies, enhancing vehicle connectivity and control to take the stress out of journeys. Enhancements to the Picanto's petrol powertrain line-up include Kia's optional new Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) for a smoother drive.

Kia Motors has introduced significant upgrades to the Kia Stonic compact crossover, strengthening the car’s position in the European B-SUV segment.The upgraded Stonic now offers drivers a range of efficient new ‘Smartstream’ powertrains, with innovations that enhance efficiency. Among these, the Stonic now offers Kia’s new gasoline 48V mild-hybrid ‘EcoDynamics+’ powertrain, and is also equipped with the company’s new ‘clutch-by-wire’ intelligent manual transmission.The interior and exterior design of the Stonic remain largely unchanged, however owners have even greater scope for customisation than before, with new body and roof colours and colour schemes, and a new wheel choice. Inside, drivers and occupants can now specify a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment and navigation system with Kia’s new ‘Phase II’ UVO Connect telematics features.
