Buckingham Palace pressured by accusations of racism

Description

London, Mar 9 (EFE).- (Camera: Clàudia Sacrest) Buckingham Palace is under heavy pressure to respond to accusations of racism leveled by the Dukes of Sussex against the royal family, a scandal that threatens to plunge the monarchy into its worst crisis in decades.FOOTAGE OF BUCKINGHAM PALACE AND SOUNDBITES OF LONDONERSTRANSLATIONVlad Smats, (50, sitting on a bench in Green Park, next to Buckingham Palace):1.- "Well, it's crap. I don't believe it at all [Meghan]. This is an American thing, it's part of the show. It's what I think. Buckingham Palace is going to strike back, that's for sure."Marcio Ruiz, (bartender in a bar near Oxford Circus):2.- "I looked at it and it was honestly a surprise. I didn't expect the royal family to be this racist, it was a surprise, really."Sarah Mezhgeua, (27, waiting for a friend on Oxford Street):3.- "I don't think it is necessary to listen to what she says, you just need to see the press and you can clearly see how they treat her, what the tabloids write ... and how Buckingham had previously spoken well of her, about how they adore her , her welcoming nature, and then suddenly wanting to trash her name and make her look mean. "4.- "I think we were all already aware of it, and more knowing the story of Diana, and the resignations of her and Diana. No surprise."Julie Hoc (18 years old, left) and Anne Czerwinski (19 years old, right), taking a walk on Oxford Street:5.- "I think it had to be very hard for her [Meghan]. If everything is true, of course, I don't know if everything is true ... Just having just had a child and receiving so many insults to your baby .. . ".6.- "I think it could be true, I don't know. If it's true, if the Queen's family did that, it's weird because they're supposed to be an image of England, it doesn't have to be racist."7.- "In my opinion, we only know one point of view, one side of the story. We know that the royal family will never talk about it or comment on the interview, we only know one point of view."
