Myanmar security forces fire tear gas at protesters in Dawei as hundreds march through the streets of the southern coastal town despite an increasingly brutal crackdown by the military that has seen more than 50 people killed.

Protesters in Yangon's Sanchaung area use fire extinguishers to cover their retreat during clashes with security forces. At least seven people were killed as Myanmar security forces fired on pro-democracy protesters, after the junta pressed criminal charges on half a dozen detained journalists, including an Associated Press photographer.
Three protesters were critically injured when security forces fired live rounds at anti-coup protesters in northwestern Myanmar on Tuesday, medics said, as regional powers met to pressure the junta over its deadly crackdown. Myanmar has endured mass protests demanding the military release civilian leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who was detained on February 1 at the start of the coup.
Belarusian police use tear gas and fire shots in the air in the second largest city of Gomel, and detain more protesters in Grodno.
